We are looking for a tax lawyer and business law expert based in London, bilingual in French and English, to assist a French-speaking law firm in the management and restructuring of struggling English companies.

The selected professional will ensure local legal coordination in the United Kingdom, ensuring compliance with tax, commercial, and recovery procedures, while closely collaborating with the main French-speaking legal team.

The position can be based in London or remotely, depending on the candidate's availability.

Key skills
  •  Excellent mastery of UK tax law and business law.
  •  Good knowledge of the procedures for the restructuring and liquidation of companies in the United Kingdom.
  •  Ability to work in a bilingual environment (English/French).
  •  Solid experience in inter-jurisdictional coordination (between different firms or jurisdictions).
  •  Mastery of digital collaboration and legal documentation tools.
Soft skills
  •  Rigour and attention to detail in legal analysis and writing.
  •  Excellent intercultural communication, both in English and French.
  •  Ability to synthesise and simplify complex issues.

Key Responsibilities 
  •  Advise the client on the tax and legal aspects related to the restructuring or liquidation of businesses in the United Kingdom.
  •  Ensure the liaison between the French-speaking lead lawyer and the relevant British authorities or institutions
  •  Supervise the legal compliance of business recovery and restructuring operations according to UK legislation.
  •  Draft, review and validate bilingual legal documents (contracts, restructuring agreements, official correspondence).
  •  Represent the client's interests before the tax authorities or commercial courts in the UK, where applicable.
